Legendary singer-songwriter Yusuf/Cat Stevens has announced a limited-run tour this fall to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his first hit single “I Love My Dog” in 1966.
The North American A Cat’s Attic tour of intimate-sized venues begins Sept. 12 at Toronto’s Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and ends with a two-night stand at Los Angeles’ Pantages Theatre on Oct. 6-7. The trek will also visit major markets like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington, D.C., Nashville and Chicago.
The shows will feature “a night of songs, storytelling and goodwill.” See the full list of dates below.
Yusuf’s multiple-night stand at New York’s Beacon Theatre on Sept. 19-20 will mark his first public show in the city since 1976, according to Live Nation. Later that week, he’ll perform at the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 15 at livenation.com. A portion of every ticket will benefit Small Kindness, Yusuf’s U.K.-founded charity. Donations will be made to UNICEF and International Rescue Committee to help children affected by the current refugee crisis.
