U.K. Artist Yungblud Addresses Sexual Assault in New Song ‘Polygraph Eyes’: Exclusive Premiere

U.K. artist Yungblud has released a new song from his self-titled EP titled "Polygraph Eyes."

U.K. artist Yungblud has released a new song from his upcoming EP titled “Polygraph Eyes.” The 19-year-old artist uses his passionate and ferocious lyrics split with pop-rock inspiration to call attention to issues of social justice.

In the last year, Yungblud — also known as Dominic Harrison — has signed to Geffen Records, released three singles and performed all over the U.S., Europe, Australia and the U.K. His new song, premiering below, focuses on sexual assault, while serving subtle commentary about consent and “lad mentality.” Throughout the song, he describes a Saturday night in Northern England after a night of dancing, drinking and “a bit of fun turns to regret.”

“I wanted to write a song that shines a light on sexual assault, a conversation that has been started and needs to remain at the forefront of our minds,” Yungblud told Billboard. “I think people my age have the power to enact change.”

The artist will perform live at the eighth annual Guild Music Supervisors’ GMS Awards next month. He also begins his U.S. spring tour with K. Flay in March.

His self-titled EP is due out Friday.
