YouTube went big for this year's YouTube Rewind video, enlisting Avicii to write an original composition to compliment its annual mashup of the biggest hits, memes and trends of 2015.

YouTube went big for this year’s YouTube Rewind video, enlisting Avicii to write an original composition to compliment its annual mashup of the biggest hits, memes and trends of 2015. Released today, the latest Rewind video is called “YouTube Rewind 2015” and pays tribute to the first ten years of YouTube.

Shot in over 13 countries, the video features 150 YouTube creators, including Bethany Mota, Casey Niestat, Dan+Phil, Grace Helbig, Jenna Marbles, Lilly Singh, PewdiePie, Swoozie and Tyler Oakley, among others.  Music artists include T-Pain, Omi and “Friday” singer Rebecca Black, as well as talk show hosts James Corden and John Oliver. Everyone’s favorite double rainbow enthusiast, YosemiteBear, also makes an appearance.

Overall, the video features over 35 embedded references to 2015 memes and other highlights, including New York City’s beloved Pizza Rat. Watch it below:

Last year’s Rewind video, “Turn Down for 2014,” has been viewed nearly 100 million times.

To compliment the annual ode to hot videos, YouTube has also debuted a new feature called the YouTube Trending Tab for its desktop and mobile sites. As you’d expect, the tab aggregates all the popular content buzzing around at that moment. Per YouTube: “From the most-anticipated new trailers to the hottest music videos or viral clips from the biggest (and smallest) YouTube creators, the Trending Tab captures a list of videos with the most views and newsworthy or otherwise notable videos receiving rapid rises in viewership that are generating discussion on YouTube and off so you don’t miss the latest meme or watercooler moment.”
