YoungBoy Never Broke Again Takes ‘Top’ Spot on Hot 100 Songwriters Chart

YoungBoy Never Broke Again hits No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Songwriters chart (dated Sept. 26), leading for the first time on the strength of nine songwriting credits on the latest Billboard Hot 100 chart.

All nine tracks are from his new LP Top, which debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 126,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

YoungBoy’s “My Window,” featuring Lil Wayne, which he co-wrote with Lil Wayne, Smash David and Jason Cornet, leads the nine songs at No. 35.

Here’s a look at all of YoungBoy’s songwriting credits on the latest Hot 100. (All are debuts except for “Kacey Talk” and “All In.”)

Over on the Hot 100 Producers chart, Tyson Trax/Dr. Luke (real name: Lukasz Gottwald) hits No. 1 for the first time in the chart’s year-plus history thanks to four production credits on the Hot 100 under his production pseudonyms (Tyson Trax or Dr. Luke).

Saweetie’s “Tap In,” which Gottwald solely produced as Dr. Luke, leads at No. 24, followed by Juice WRLD’s “Wishing Well,” which he co-produced with ChopSquad DJ, also as Dr. Luke, at No. 42. Doja Cat’s “Say So,” featuring Nicki Minaj (solely produced as Tyson Trax), is next at No. 48, followed by Doja Cat’s “Like That,” featuring Gucci Mane (co-produced as Tyson Trax with Mike Crook), at No. 54.

Gottwald has 17 career No. 1s on the Hot 100 as a producer (16 as Dr. Luke, one as Tyson Trax), dating to his first, Avril Lavigne’s “Girlfriend” in 2007.

The weekly Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot 100; plus, genre-based songwriter and producer charts follow the same methodology based on corresponding “Hot”-named genre charts. As with Billboard’s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
