Yanni Leads Top Facebook Live Videos Chart for Third Time

The pianist returns to the top of the list for the first time since July with a soundcheck performance from Tucson.

Yanni continues to prove he’s quite the force on Facebook Live, ruling Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart for a third month in 2019 by crowning the October 2019 list.

The chart, the latest of which recaps October 2019 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.

Yanni, who previously ruled the June and July 2019 editions of Top Facebook Live Videos, leads October’s tally with a livestream of his soundcheck in Tucson, Ariz., before his show at the Fox Tucson Theatre on Oct. 1.

The six-minute clip received the most views by any artist-uploaded Facebook Live video in its first seven days, garnering 2.6 million views, according to Shareablee. In addition, it snagged 75,000 reactions, 11,000 shares and was commented on 3,000 times.

Yanni’s video is followed by a new upload from another perennial ruler of Top Facebook Live Videos, Guns N’ Roses. The rockers bow at No. 2 with an Oct. 23 video captured during their concert in Oklahoma City while performing “Welcome to the Jungle.” While it couldn’t supplant Yanni’s upload in terms of first-seven-days views (it scored a still-strong 1.7 million), GNR’s video leads all artist-uploaded clips in reactions (85,000) and shares (12,000) for October 2019.

Guns N’ Roses also reached the October list with an Oct. 29 video from Salt Lake City, which debuts at No. 9.
