On Monday, the rapper/singer’s catalog of songs collected 59.6 million streams (audio and video combined) — up from 9.2 million on June 17.
XXXTentacion’s most streamed songs (in terms of on-demand streams) on June 18 were: “Sad!” (8.97 million; up 408 percent from 1.77 million), “Jocelyn Flores” (4.46 million; up 628 percent from 613,000), “Moonlight” (4.23 million; up 370 percent from 900,000), “Changes” (4.04 million; up 462 percent from 719,000) and “F**k Love,” featuring Trippie Redd (3.83 million; up 499 percent from 639,000).
“Sad!” was the artist’s only top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart before he died, peaking at No. 7 on the March 31-dated list. The song is housed on XXXTentacion’s ? album, which debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart that same week, marking his first chart-topper. He previously hit the top 10 on the Billboard 200 with 17, in 2017, which peaked at No. 2.
Industry forecasters suggest ? return to the top five on next week’s Billboard 200 chart (dated June 30), with over 80,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 21. On the current chart (dated June 23, reflecting the tracking week ending June 14), the set stood at No. 24 with 19,000 units earned, according to Nielsen Music.
The 17 album also could vault back to the top 10, with more than 50,000 units earned. On the June 23-dated list, the set was No. 60 with 10,000 units.
XXXTentacion made his Billboard chart debut in February 2017 and collected 16 hits on the Hot 100 and three entries on the Billboard 200 during his lifetime. However, his chart success was concurrent with consistent legal trouble. At the time of his death, he was awaiting trial on more than a dozen felony charges and allegations of domestic violence against his then-pregnant girlfriend.
