Second Arrest Made in Connection With Murder of XXXTentacion

The Broward County Sheriff's Department released a statement confirming the arrest of Michael Boatwright, 22, as one of the gunmen involved in the murder of XXXTentacion.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office announced they have made a second arrest regarding the tragic mid-June murder of 20-year-old XXXTentacion. Investigators identified 22-year-old Michael Boatwright as one of the gunmen who confronted Jahseh Onfroy as he left the RIVA Motorsports dealership in Deerfield Park, Fla. on June 18. 

Boatwright was previously arrested on July 5 for unrelated drug charges. On Tuesday (July 10), he was hit with an additional warrant for first-degree murder charges while already locked up in the Broward Main Jail. Police have also identified Robert Allen as a person of interest in the case and believe a second gunman suspect is still at large. 

Authorities arrested their first suspect related to X’s murder in Dedrick D. Williams of Pompano Beach, Fla. on June 20. The 22-year-old is being charged with first-degree murder dangerous depraved without premeditation. He has already pleaded not guilty to the allegations against him.
