Latin Airplay welcomes a new No. 1 as Wisin and Carlos Vives jump 4-1 with “Nota de Amor,” featuring Daddy Yankee. The crowning hike gives Vives his 10th No. 1 on the list, putting him in an eight-way tie for fourth-most topping tracks. Wisin grabs his third No. 1 as a solo act, and a career 13 No. 1s, including the 10 achieved as part of the urban duo Wisin & Yandel. The rise earns Yankee his fourth No. 1. “Nota” climbs 29 percent at Latin radio, recording 11.4 million audience impressions during the tracking week ending April 12, according to Nielsen Music.

The trio is set to perform the song for the first time live at the 2015 Billboard Latin Music Awards, broadcast by Telemundo on April 30. Wisin is a four-time finalist at the annual show, up for awards including Latin Rhythm Song of the Year (for “Adrenalina” featuring Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez), and Latin Rhythm Album of the Year (for El Regreso Del Sobreviviente).

A music video, shot in Miami by director Jessy Terrero, premiered on April 16 on Telemundo before being widely serviced to Vevo and other video platforms. 

Fito Blanko’s ‘Furious’ Arrival: The release of Furious 7 spurs Fito Blanko onto Hot Latin Songs with “Meneo.” It’s the chart’s top debut of the week, and enters at No. 37, propelled by digital sales and streaming. It’s Blanko’s third charting track on the chart, and best showing as a lead act besting his song “VIP,” featuring Fuego, which reached the No. 46 spot in 2011. Blanko was later featured on Elvis Crespo’s “Pegaito Suavecito” which scored a No. 6 peak in February 2013.

The track was originally released as a standalone single in October 2013, but did not arrive on the charts at the time. Digital sales rise 55 percent (to 2,000 downloads), boosting the track 21-9 on Latin Digital Songs to score his highest peak yet on the sales chart. The song logged 259,000 weekly domestic streams, a 187 percent increase, aiding in its Hot Latin Songs debut.

Tony Dize Debuts at No. 1: Over on Top Latin Albums, Tony Dize lands his first No. 1 as La Melodia De La Calle, 3rd Season arrives with just over 3,000 units. The set, released through Pina Records, includes collaborations with some of the biggest names in Latin urban music including Yandel, Don Omar and Nicky Jam. Four singles from the album have reached Latin Rhythm Songs, including the chart-topping “Prometo Olvidarte,” which spent a week at No. 1 on the chart dated Feb. 15, 2014. Dize performed tracks from the new set at Madison Square Garden on April 14 as part of Mega Mezcla, an annual concert hosted by Latin radio personality Alex Sensation.
