LakeShake is one of three new festivals Live Nation will debut this year, the latest in a remarkable run of festival launches from Live Nation’s country division, spearheaded by Live Nation Country president Brian O’Connell. O’Connell, a native Chicagoan, is now well ahead of the pace in his self-stated goal to launch 10 country fests in 10 years, with LakeShake following Watershed in George, Wash., launched in ’12; Faster Horses in Brooklyn, Mich., in ’13; Rt. 91 Harvest in Las Vegas in ’14, and FarmBorough in New York, and Delaware Junction in ’15.
Windy City LakeShake will host two stages, including the festival group’s trademark “Next From Nashville” stage, showcasing emerging country music acts. Three day passes start at $199.50 and will go on sale Feb 2 at lakeshakefestival.com.
