Weezer’s ‘All My Favorite Songs’ Tops Rock & Alternative Airplay Chart

Weezer‘s “All My Favorite Songs” becomes the band’s third leader on Billboard‘s Rock & Alternative Airplay chart, rising from No. 2 to No. 1 on the tally dated July 31.

The track reigns with 6.7 million audience impressions, up 5%, among multiple rock radio formats, according to MRC Data.

Weezer has strung together two consecutive Rock & Alternative Airplay No. 1s for the first time (dating to the list’s 2009 premiere), as “Songs” follows the two-week reign of “Hero” last August. The band’s first ruler, its cover of Toto‘s “Africa,” spent a week on top in 2018.

“Songs” has led three of Billboard‘s four rock radio charts. It crowned Adult Alternative Airplay, where it became Weezer’s first No. 1, for three weeks in April, and adds its second week atop the Alternative Airplay chart, where it’s Weezer’s sixth leader among 19 top 10s dating to its first in 1994. (The track is also bubbling under Mainstream Rock Airplay, where the band has tallied 10 entries.)

The track has additionally scored pop crossover success, as it rises to No. 23 on Adult Pop Airplay. It’s Weezer’s third highest charting hit on the chart, after the top 10s “Beverly Hills” (No. 8, 2005) and “Africa” (No. 3, 2018).

“Songs” is the lead single from OK Human, Weezer’s 14th studio album and first of two released in 2021, ahead of Van Weezer. OK Human has earned 66,000 equivalent album units since its January release.
