Ultra Music Festival got its start in Miami more than 20 years ago, but the brand has since expanded on an international scale. You can find the dance music event on six continents across 29 countries and 46 cities, and in 2020, Ultra Worldwide will make its Middle East debut with Ultra Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
The two-day event goes down Thursday and Friday, March 5 and 6. Lineup is yet to be announced. Tickets details and imformation can be found online.
Immediately following the Abu Dahbi debut, Ultra will return to India with back-to-back events in Hyderabad and New Delhi, Friday and Sunday, March 7 and 8. The festival first came to the country in 2017, bringing The Chainsmokers in tow for the duo’s India debut. Lineup details for Ultra India are forthcoming.
Ultra’s 2020 calendar also includes a seventh edition of Ultra South Africa with back-to-back events in Cape Town and Johannesburg, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 28 and 29 respectively. Ultra returns to Australia’s Sydney and Melbourne for a second year of back-to-back events, Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8 respectively. Tickets for Ultra South Africa and Ultra Australia are on sale now.
The 2020 announcements follow a big year for the event brand. Last month’s Ultra Japan was the first festival in the country to see more than 500,000 attendees. Ultra’s Resistance brand of house and techno events just wrapped its third-annual residency on the popular dance island Ibiza, featuring performances from Carl Cox and others. Resistance also just finishied a Latin American Resistance tour, with four sold-out shows across eight total.
Ultra’s flagship event returns to downtown Miami Friday to Sunday, March 20 to 22, 2020. Tickets are on sale now.
