Tyler, the Creator’s Freestyle About Bacon & Grandmas Peaks At No. 2 on Trending 140 Chart
Tyler, the Creator's 'Open Bar' freestyle peaks at No. 2 on Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart.

Tyler, the Creator stopped by LA Leakers’ “Lift Off” show on L.A.’s Power 106 on Wednesday, and the rapper/producer treated listeners to a round of “Open Bar,” on which he freestyled about four given topics: grandmas, pregnant women, bacon and groupies. No surprise, Tyler, the Creator took on creative and NSFW angles for each attempt.
The session exploded on Twitter, with enough buzz to take the freestyle to No. 2 on the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart on Thursday (Oct. 16).
However, his “Open Bar” freestyle wasn’t the only song to benefit from the exposure. On the freestyle, Tyler raps over an instrumental of OG Maco‘s “U Guessed It,” which has previously peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard + Twitter Emerging Artists chart for consecutive days, and has remained a top five mainstay the past week.
One thing missing: word from Tyler about an upcoming release since revealing in March that he and Earl Sweatshirt won’t be releasing a collaborative album.
Tyler, the Creator’s 2013’s Wolf debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.
