Univision Communications and Twitter have announced a partnership “to better serve the Hispanic community.”
The partnership encompasses Spanish-language entertainment, sports and news content, and will include Univision’s coverage of the 2020 U.S. Elections, “the buzziest real-time Red-Carpet” content from the Premios Lo Nuestro and Premios Juventud awards and soccer highlights from the Liga MX and UEFA Champions League, according to the announcement, made at the Twitter NewFront presentation in New York earlier this week (April 29).
The Twitter posts will also update audiences on reality TV shows La Reina de La Canción (Queen of the Song), a search for the next Latin female superstar, and Mira Quién Baila (Look Who’s Dancing).
“We are incredibly excited to partner with Univision to launch premium video content on Twitter across some of the biggest news, sports and entertainment events of the year,” Laura Froelich, Head of U.S. Content Partnerships at Twitter, said in a statement. “This comprehensive collaboration highlights Univision’s unique ability to connect with the U.S. Hispanic community across some of the most relevant and influential conversations happening on Twitter.”
