For music fans looking for what’s next, TuneIn is launching the new radio station Indieclectic. Premiering Monday (Aug. 28), Indieclectic is programmed and hosted by KCRW DJ Anthony Valadez. Listen here.
“As an advocate of music discovery and art, Indieclectic on TuneIn allows me to play limitlessly for listeners,” Valadez tells Billboard. “Hearing a Brazilian record played into Sampha into Arcade Fire makes no sense for platforms with narrow and genre-restricted playlists. But it makes complete sense for today’s music lover who wants to go on a musical journey.”
Since March, TuneIn has been helmed by new head of music Anthony “DJ Reflex” Jaramillo. Of the inspiration behind Indieclectic, Jaramillo adds, “In a day where artists of all genres share the same stage at festivals and share fans alike, Indieclectic offers a musical experience handcrafted to serve today’s music fan.”
In addition to being a discovery tool for what’s next in alternative, electronic, hip-hop and world music, Indieclectic will feature exclusive Fireside Chats, interviews and live recording sessions with emerging and established artists such as Jade Bird, JMSN, Nick Hakim, Damian Marley, Goapele and Tom Misch.
