Travis Tritt has signed a record deal with Big Noise Music Group, Billboard has exclusively learned. The country singer has teamed up with the Los Angeles-based label for the release of his forthcoming full-length album due out later this year.
“We get to work with a lot of great artists at Big Noise, but truthfully I never thought we’d have the honor of working with someone of Travis’ stature,” Jon Cohen, president of Big Noise Music Group, tells Billboard. “Travis is a legend, plain and simple. He’s an innovator and an outlaw, perfect for our roster at Big Noise.”
Tritt’s signing marks the first country artist on the label’s roster, which includes a wide variety of acts in the urban, alternative and pop genres as well as countless songwriters and producers. Tritt’s labelmates include The Used, Ashley Tisdale, DJ Holiday and New Politics, among others.
In addition to Big Noise, Tritt has teamed up with Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, The Highwomen) for his upcoming album, due out later this year. It marks his first set of original music in over 12 years. In 2019, he released Homegrown, a two-disc set of live recordings of his greatest hits from his concert in Augusta, Ga.
“I’m very excited about recording the new album with Dave Cobb. I’m also glad to be partnering with the Big Noise team and I’m looking forward to promoting this album with them in my corner,” Tritt adds.
The Georgia native will spend March on tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd before joining Brooks & Dunn in May. He is currently featured as a guest vocalist on the Hot Country Knights’ debut single “Pick Her Up.”
