Rapper Travis Scott had a surprise for Post Malone prior to his set at the Astroworld festival in Houston on Saturday (Nov. 17).
Scott and the Houston Rockets cheerleaders sent a surprise deliver of Chick-fil-A to the “Better Now” rapper through the Postmates mobile phone app. Last month, Postmates revealed that the Beerbongs & Bentleys artist had spent $40,000 on the delivery service in one year.
“He ranks as our #1 most dedicated customer: having ordered nearly 3,000 total items, on more than 660 orders, in 52 different cities nationwide,” the company wrote on its blog. During his performance at Coachella, Post Malone ordered $8,000 worth of Popeyes chicken for his fans through the food delivery app.
At Astroworld, Scott enlisted cheerleaders from his hometown team — the Houston Rockets — to surprise Post Malone in his dressing room to a large delivery of his favorite Postmates order: trays of well done Chick-fIl-A chicken tenders with 160 ounces of buffalo sauce and six gallons of sweet tea. Postmates partnership of Astroworld was secured by CLG and MAC Presents on behalf of Travis Scott.
“I love you so much buddy!” Post Malone told Scott, giving the “Sicko Mode” rapper a hug after he and manager Dre London greeted the Rockets cheerleaders.
Last month, Scott performed at Post Malone’s inaugural Posty Fest in Dallas. Check out the video of Scott surprising Post with the big Postmates order below, and earlier this month both Post Malone and Dre took home honors from the Billboard Live Music Awards, with Post Malone winning Breakout Artist and Dre winner Top Manager awards.
