Travis Scott Re-Enters Social 50 Chart After Kylie Jenner Baby News
Also, re-entries and debuts for Justin Timberlake and KSI.

Travis Scott re-enters Billboard’s Social 50 chart dated Feb. 17 following a 401 percent boost in social media activity, according to Next Big Sound, after welcoming his first child with girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Wikipedia and Tumblr. The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along with artist page views and engagement. The chart’s latest tracking week ended Feb. 8, and BTS is No. 1.
Scott, who re-enters at a new peak of No. 24 (he previously reached No. 29 in January 2016 and has spent 17 total weeks on the tally since his September 2015 debut), jumped 7,786 percent in Instagram reactions in the week ending Feb. 8, earning 2.6 million overall. His Wikipedia page added 11,000 views, a 1,009 percent increase.
“New rager in town!” he tweeted Feb. 4 to announce the birth of daughter Stormi, his first child. He added later: “May I supply the rage on this next album.”
Above Scott, the chart’s top re-entry belongs to Justin Timberlake, who appears at No. 4 — his best Social 50 position since November 2016.
Timberlake’s rise comes amid a conglomeration of activity, including the Feb. 2 release of Man of the Woods and his halftime performance at Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4.
The singer’s Twitter mentions spiked 1,012 percent to 379,000, and he racked up 272,000 Wikipedia views (up 276 percent) as he dominated the music-related news cycle throughout the week, eventually debuting Woods at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (293,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music) and crowning the Artist 100.
Meanwhile, British rapper/YouTube personality KSI debuts on the Social 50 at No. 30 with increases in all measured social metrics after competing in a boxing match against fellow Internet personality Joe Weller on Feb. 3.
The bout, held in London, came after KSI challenged Weller when the latter uploaded a match of his own against co-star Malfoy in 2017.
Among KSI’s gains leading up to and after the fight: a 1,177 percent boost in YouTube subscribers and 2.6 million Instagram reactions. KSI, who’s signed to Island, won in the third round by a technical knockout.
