Travis Scott’s ‘Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight’ Heads for No. 1 on Billboard 200 Chart
Travis Scott's new album, "Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight," is aiming to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters.

Travis Scott’s new album, Birds In the Trap Sing McKnight, is aiming to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, according to industry forecasters. Sources suggest the album, which dropped on Sept. 2 through Epic Records, may earn over 80,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Sept. 8.
If the set starts atop the list, it will mark Scott’s first No. 1. It follows his debut effort, Rodeo, which peaked at No. 3 on the tally in 2015. The new album is exclusively available through the Apple Music streaming service, and the iTunes Store.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the new Sept. 24-dated Billboard 200 chart — where Scott may bow at No. 1 — is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Sept. 11.
The likely No. 2 album on the new chart will be A Day To Remember’s new Bad Vibrations, which could start with 60,000 units. The new album would mark the fourth top 40-charting set for the band, and its highest charting effort yet.
