Argentine trap and freestyle artist Duki has signed an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Warner Chappell Music, Billboard has learned.
“Duki is a true pioneer in the rapidly-growing trap movement that is taking the world by storm,” said Gustavo Menendez, president, Warner Chappell Music, Latin America, in a press statement. “His versatility as an artist, and his ability to seamlessly incorporate elements of the underground and the mainstream set him apart. We’re excited to work together to continue to challenge what’s possible.”
Duki’s talent was put on the radar when in 2016 he won the popular freestyle competition El Quinto Escalon with “No Vendo Trap,” also becoming the first original song by a participant to reach over a million views on YouTube. In his short trajectory, the trap artist has collaborated with many artists including J Balvin, Vicentico and Fuego, was nominated at the MTV Europe Music Awards for best Latin South American act and became the first national trap artist to sell out a show at Buenos Aires’ prestigious Luna Park festival.
He’s known for his song such as “Sin Culpa,” “Si Te Sentis Sola,” “QUAVO,” and most recently “Hitboy” in collaboration with Argentine artist Khea.
