Topic and A7S each earn their first top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, as “Breaking Me” bumps 11-10 on the list dated May 16.
The track drew 2 million U.S. streams in the week ending May 7, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, and concurrently debuts at No. 22 on the Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs chart.
“Breaking” also reaches the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart’s top five (8-5), benefitting from play on such core-dance affiliates as Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, KNHC (C89.5) Seattle and iHeartRadio’s Evolution Network (as monitored on KZZP-HD2 Phoenix). The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.
Further on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Imanbek and Martin Jensen march in at No. 30 with “I’m Just Feeling (Du Du Du).” Danish DJ/producer Jensen’s third entry, and the first as a credited artist on a Billboard chart for Kazakh DJ/producer Imanbek, “Feeling” bows with 394,000 domestic streams.
Meanwhile, SAINt JHN’s “Roses (Imanbek Remix)” ranks at No. 1 for fourth frame, as it improves 23-20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Also on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, Madonna returns with “I Don’t Search I Find” (No. 35). The track peaked at No. 30 on February 22, the same week that it became Madonna’s landmark and record-extending 50th leader on Dance Club Songs.
“Don’t” re-enters following the commercial release of additional remixes, including from Endor, DJLW and Kue. Remixed versions from Honey Dijon were released in December. The cover art of the newly released digital single reads “In Memory of Orlando Puerta,” paying tribute to the dance promotion executive who recently passed away.
Returning to Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Jessie Reyez notches her first top 10 with “Love in the Dark” (12-8). 220 KID and GRACEY also each earn their first top 10 apiece, darting 22-10 with “Don’t Need Love.”
