Tidal is capping off the week with two executive-level promotions: Tony Gervino to executive vp/editor-in-chief, and Elliott Wilson to chief content officer.

Gervino, who was Billboard‘s editor-in-chief from April 2014 to May 2016, will oversee all editorial direction at Tidal, including leading global playlist curation across genres and the streaming service’s digital magazine, READ. A seasoned writer and editor with bylines in New York TimesRolling StoneBusinessweek and Slam (where he also served as EIC), Gervino joined TidalL as vp, culture and content in early 2017.

Wilson, the former EIC of XXL, will lead the creation of new and existing original content. He has already served as host for several of Tidal’s original content series, and curated some of the platform’s most popular playlists, since joining the company in February 2017 as editorial director, culture & content, hip-hop.

Both appointments are effective immediately and will report to Tidal CEO Richard Sanders.
