Music continues to be the most-discussed subject on Twitter in the U.S., according to data released by the social network. The most tweeted-about artist of the year is Justin Bieber, the most-tweeted about song of the year was “Happy” by Pharrell, and the most tweeted-about album was Beyoncé’s self-titled debut last December.

Topping this year’s list of most-followed users is Katy Perry, who surpassed Bieber (who comes in at No. 2) in February. Coachella is the year’s most-tweeted about festival, topping both Tomorrow World and Warped Tour, while the MTV EMAs were the most tweeted-about awards show, topping both the GRAMMYs and the MTV VMAs.
On the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 real-time chart, One Direction had the greatest success on the with 19 different songs reaching the No. 1 position in the time following the chart’s launch in May. 5 Seconds of Summer had the most instances of reaching No. 1 of any artist, with one of their tracks reaching the top spot a total of 289 times.
With 229,533 tweets per minute (TPM), the most-tweeted about music moment of the year occurred at the end of this year’s Superbowl halftime show featuring Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Feb. 2. Next at 171,593 TPM was Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar’s performance during the 2014 Grammys on Jan. 26, and the third-most tweeted-about moment was Lorde winning best pop solo performance that same night (with 152,688 TPM).

The EDM crowd loves to party together, and this group shot of some of the world’ biggest DJs, including Steve Aoki and Martin Garrix, has received 1,490 retweets.
