Live Nation Philadelphia and Major League Baseball’s Philadelphia Phillies have announced a four-week concert series at the team’s Citizens Bank Park parking lot. The Live-In / Drive-In Concert Series presented by Budweiser Zero will kick off on Aug. 16 with comedian Bert Kreischer.
The series will feature additional performances by AJR, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, The Struts, The Front Bottoms, Mt. Joy, Subtronics, Smith & Myers, Lotus, and two nights with Dark Star Orchestra continuing the Grateful Dead live concert experience, Michael Blackson & Friends with special guest DJ Jazzy Jeff and more.
All artists will be performing full live sets on stages set up in the parking lot where fans can watch from their vehicles with the audio simulcast on an FM frequency. The events will also feature large-scale video LED screens and can expect contactless ticket scanning through their vehicle window. They will then be shown to their designated parking space where they will enjoy the show from inside their own car. Guests can leave their automobiles, wearing a mask, to use one of the portable bathroom locations which will be continuously sanitized throughout each event.
“We are excited to enable music fans to once again enjoy live music safely as we unveil our Live-In / Drive-In series at Citizens Bank Park,” said Live Nation Philadelphia regional president Geoff Gordon in a release. “We are grateful to the Philadelphia Phillies, the City of Philadelphia, the State of Pennsylvania, and the musicians and artists who are excited to get back out and perform live on stage in a socially distanced environment for their fans in Philly again.”
Tickets will be sold in the form of a group car pass. Ticket prices range between $99.50 to $225. Each car will purchase just one ticket, good for a maximum of four people per car. Check out the announced lineup below.
