The Smashing Pumpkins Announce Tour With Three Out of Four Original Members
Rock band The Smashing Pumpkins announce their first tour with this much of their original lineup in almost 18 years.

’90s rock giants The Smashing Pumpkins are making their touring comeback this year, with three of the four original members heading out on the road together for the first time since 2000.
“This show and staging will be unlike any we’ve ever done, and will feature a set unlike any we’ve ever played,” frontman Billy Corgan said in a press release. “For if this is a chance at a new beginning, we plan on ushering it in with a real bang.”
The Shiny and Oh So Bright tour will feature Corgan, plus original drummer Jimmy Chamberlin and guitarist James Iha. The news comes after bassist D’arcy Wretzky told BlastEcho she was uninvited from the group’s reunion, a claim which the rest of the group has denied.
The band kicks off their tour July 12 in Arizona. Form there, the group will make their way across North America, making stops in Texas, New York City, Canada, California and finishing off the 36-city tour in Boise on Sept. 7. Tickets go on sale Feb. 23 at 10 am local time. Check out the video and the rest of the dates below.
