The Lumineers Triple Up Atop Rock, Alternative & Americana/Folk Charts With ‘Brightside’

The set marks the group's fourth to achieve the feat.

For the fourth time in as many tries, The Lumineers triple up at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts.

Brightside, the band’s fourth album, debuts on the Jan. 29-dated surveys with 37,000 equivalent album units earned in the Jan. 14-20 tracking week, according to MRC Data. Of that sum, 26,000 units are via album sales.

The group first led all three lists with its self-titled debut in 2012, followed by Cleopatra (2016) and III (2019).

Brightside also launches atop Vinyl Albums with 15,000 vinyl sales. It’s the act’s third No. 1 on the chart, following Cleopatra (which started with 7,000) and III (5,000).

On the all-format Billboard 200, Brightside bows at No. 6. Each of The Lumineers’ releases has reached the top 10, with Cleopatra having hit No. 1.

The multi-metric Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart boasts seven entries among Brightside‘s nine-album tracklist, paced by the title cut at No. 13. “Where We Are” makes a No. 19 debut, followed by “A.M. Radio” (No. 24), “Big Shot” (No. 35), “Birthday” (No. 36), “Never Really Mine” (No. 38) and “Rollercoaster” (No. 43).

The album’s title track crowned both the Adult Alternative Airplay and Alternative Airplay charts for two and four weeks, respectively, beginning in late 2021.
