The Chainsmokers’ ‘The One’ Opens on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart
Plus, moves for Kygo, Selena Gomez, Calvin Harris, Alesso & Tony Moran.

The Chainsmokers debut at No. 12 on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated April 15) with “The One,” which sold 21,000 downloads and drew 3.8 million U.S. streams in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.
Meanwhile, the duo’s Coldplay collaboration, “Something Just Like This,” logs a fourth week at No. 1 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and its own “Paris” holds at No. 2.
As previously reported, The Chainsmokers tie an all-time mark on the Billboard Hot 100, equaling Ace of Base‘s 48-week streak of ranking in the top 10 consecutively, the longest run among non-soloists. Overall, Katy Perry holds the record with 69 straight weeks in the top 10 in 2010-11.
“The One” is driven by Drew Taggart’s vocals and, along with “Something” and “Paris,” is from the duo’s April 7 debut album Memories…Do Not Open.
Shifting to Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Kygo and Selena Gomez soar 16-6 with “It Ain’t Me,” the former’s second top 10 and the latter’s sixth. Plus, Calvin Harris climbs 12-9 with “Slide,” featuring Frank Ocean and Migos. It’s the DJ’s 14th top 10 and the first each for Ocean and Migos. Harris is now tied with Kaskade and Perry for the third-most in the chart’s nearly 14-year history; Rihanna leads with 23. Also, Alesso ascends 14-10 with “Falling,” his seventh top 10.
On Dance Club Songs, Tony Moran marches to his sixth No. 1 with “Lick Me Up” (2-1), which has been remixed by Tom Stephan, Hector Fonseca and Eduardo Lujan and DJ Strobe, among others. It’s the first leader each for co-lead Dani Toro and featured vocalist Zhana Roiya.
