The Chainsmokers Congratulate Rae Sremmurd for Dethroning ‘Closer’ on Hot 100
"Black Beatles" jumps from No. 9 to No. 1 on the Hot 100.

If you want a song to go viral, get your song a meme. Everyone from Michelle Obama to Paul McCartney and Marshmello have done the “Mannequin Challenge,” a filmed feat that requires all on camera strike a pose and hold steady while the camera pans and Rae Sremmurd‘s “Black Beatles” plays in the background.
The Mannequin Challenge is exploding, and so are sales and streams of Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles.” The mega-hit produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and featuring Gucci Mane has hit the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and The Chainsmokers today (Nov. 14) congratulated the young hip-hop duo on its takeover.
