Tegan and Sara Announce ‘Hey, I’m Just Like You’ North American Tour: See the Dates
Tegan and Sara have announced their fall Hey, I'm Just Like You Tour.
September is going to be a big month for indie pop-rockers Tegan and Sara. The duo are releasing their memoir High School on Sept. 24, followed by their highly-anticipated ninth studio album, Hey, I’m Just Like You on Sept. 27. Now, they’re adding a tour as the cherry on top.
On Tuesday (July 23), Tegan and Sara announced their fall Hey, I’m Just Like You Tour. Starting off in Brooklyn, New York on Sept. 24, the duo will tour through the Pacific Northwest, Canada and the Midwest before ending their tour in the South on Nov. 1 in Austin, Texas.
The tour will be unlike past tours from the Quins: according to a statement on their website, the pair will be playing a mostly acoustic set, while also reading passages from their new memoir and sharing old video footage of the two of them from their teenage years. “We have so much in store for you,” T&S wrote. “It’s going to be a super special evening that you don’t want to miss. We’ve been away from you all for nearly two years and can’t wait to see you.”
Tegan and Sara also revealed that they would be teaming up with local, independent book stores to provide a copy of High School with every ticket sold to their dates in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle (the tour dates from Sept. 24 – Oct. 4). The pair also shared that $1 of every ticket sold on their tour will be donated to the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
