Taylor Swift Announces Haim as ‘1989’ Tour Opener

Taylor Swift has announced that sister band Haim will open select dates on her upcoming 1989 World Tour.

It looks like the Haim sisters will be spending even more time with their pal Taylor Swift.

Swift announced on Sunday (Feb. 1) that sister band — comprised of Este, Danielle and Alana Haim — will open select dates on her upcoming 1989 World Tour.

“The girls and I got to talking and I’m overjoyed to announce that @haimtheband will be joining The 1989 World Tour!! TOURING W/ SQUAD YESSSS” Swift tweeted.

Haim will join Swift on seven upcoming North American dates, including multiple-night stands in East Rutherford, N.J.; Washington, D.C.; Chicago; Foxborough, Mass.; Los Angeles; Nashville; and St. Louis. See the full dates below.

The world tour launches in Louisiana on May 20 and will hit North America and Europe before heading to Australia in December 2015. Other support acts are Vance Joy and Shawn Mendes.


Haim is a natural fit for Swift’s upcoming tour. The pop star has posted numerous Instagram photos with the sisters, including a recent vacation trip to Hawaii where Swift finally revealed her belly button.

July 13-14: Washington, D.C. (Nationals Park)
July 18-19: Chicago (Soldier Field)
July 24-25: Foxborough, Mass. (Gillette Stadium)
Aug. 21-22 & Aug. 24-26: Los Angeles (Staples Center)
Sept. 25-26: Nashville (Bridgestone Arena)
Sept. 28-29: St. Louis (Scottrade Center)
