House music supergroup Swedish House Mafia has signed to Columbia Records. The trio announced its new musical home via a social media post that tripled the Columbia Records logo in the same way they have used three dots to announce upcoming shows. Billboard Dance confirmed the signing with the trio's team.
The popular group, conisting of Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, is in the middle of a big comeback. They had a multitude of hits, including Hot 100 No. 6 single "Don't You Worry Child," between 2010 and 2013 before going on a five-year hiatus. They surprised fans with a resurrection set at Ultra Miami last March, and have since announced a string of international dates throughout this summer festival season.
SHM has also promised new music to come.
The trio previously released music on Polydor, Virgin and EMI, among others. Columbia recenly signed fellow electronic act Gesaffelstein. Both acts join the ranks of Daft Punk, Krewella, Madeon and LCD Soundsystem.
