SuperM Announce L.A. Concert, Drop Epic New Joint Teaser Video: Watch

K-pop supergroup SuperM raise anticipation for their debut with their first self-titled EP on Oct. 4.

Upcoming K-pop group SuperM, a hybrid act featuring popular members from boy bands across SM Entertainment’s roster, have shared their first joint teaser video for their upcoming album today (Sept. 24).

Beginning with cheers, the group’s Taemin (of SHInee), Ten (WayV), Mark (NCT 127), Baekhyun (EXO), Taeyong (NCT 127), Kai (EXO), and Lucas (WayV) walk into a stadium as sirens and shots — seemingly from cameras while what appears to be a sharpshooters’ view screen flashes across camera — can be heard.

Each of SuperM’s seven men are then introduced through a variety of solo sequences that turn the focus onto each member’s charismatic visages. Donning a variety of black and leather looks straight of an action movie, the stars stare down the camera as they come together, with a pulsating beat driving the teaser video to its finale.

The group video follows a series of individual teaser images and videos that put the spotlight on each of SuperM’s members, hinting to the futuristic, dramatic feel of their upcoming first album, out on Oct. 4.

The new group teaser dropped at the same time the act announced its first-ever performance, which will take place in Los Angeles at Capitol Records on Oct. 5. “LA! We’ll be coming on Oct 5 & we would love to see you all at @CapitolRecords [?] ,” they tweeted on SuperM’s official account. “This will be our first ever performance together as #SuperM !” According to Capitol, the free event’s tickets sold-out in minutes.

SuperM is a joint collaboration between SM and Capitol, and was announced in August as an Avengers-inspired K-pop team, with members coming from different popular acts formed over the past decade — senior artist Taemin has been active in SHINee since 2008 while WayV released its first album earlier this year though Ten and Lucas have previously been featured in NCT releases since 2016 — to create a new sort of supergroup, bringing together their talents and expertise as performers.
