After he was arrested for murder last week in a fatal hit-and-run, Suge Knight’s bail has been revoked, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Billboard.
According to a sheriff’s department spokeswoman, the Death Row Records co-founder is considered a flight risk, in addition to possible witness intimidation and his criminal past. Because of that past, Knight is a three-strike candidate in California, meaning he’s in for a more serious sentence because he’s already been convicted of two or more violent crimes or felonies.
The office of Knight’s attorney, James Blatt, confirmed they had “heard” that their client’s bail was revoked and were looking into it.
Bail had been set at $2.2 million.
Knight was arrested last week after he allegedly backed his truck over actor Terry Carter, 55, who died after the crash. The truck also reportedly struck Cle Sloan, 51, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Knight will make his first court appearance on Tuesday.
