Steve Savoca, Formerly of Spotify, Joins Apple Music

Steve Savoca, formerly VP of content at Spotify, has joined Apple Music, Billboard has learned. He will be heading up the company's new New York office in a label-relations role. Further details on his role were not immediately available, but he has already begun work for the company. 

Savoca is an industry vet who brings vast experience to his new role: Prior to Spotify, which he left in August 2016, he held senior digital and/or marketing roles at the Zomba Label Group, London-Sire and Domino Records. He is also a musician who played drums with a band called the Werefrogs during the 1990s. He serves on the board of directors of the Music Business Association (formerly NARM) and previously sat on the board at Merlin.
