“Party Girl” registered 8.2 million U.S. streams in the week ending April 30, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, up a mighty 277% from 2.2 million in the prior tracking week. The sum ranks just outside the 50-position cutoff for the Streaming Songs chart this week. The tune also sold 1,000 downloads in the same period. Radio airplay, meanwhile, shows introductory signs of life, with “Party Girl” recording its first radio plays at the R&B/hip-hop format in the week ending May 3.
In addition to its Hot 100 entrance, “Party Girl” also begins at No. 38 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart – likewise the rapper’s first entry there.
StaySolidRocky, born Darak Figeroua, signed with Columbia Records in early 2020. The 19-year-old, who hails from San Antonio but has settled in Richmond, Virginia, wrote the track with Edgar Bustios, while Nashi handled the track’s production.
As “Party Girl” lands on the Hot 100, the song’s activity helps StaySolidRocky debut at No. 15 on the Emerging Artists chart.
