Stacy Vee is joining AEG concert promoter Louis Messina as vp, artist relations for Messina Touring Group.
“She’s the dreamweaver,” Messina tells Billboard of Vee, who got her start in 2002 working for Concerts West co-founder Paul Gongaware and later Paul Tollett before being promoted to Goldenvoice’s director of festival talent in 2015. There, she books all the artists for Stagecoach, the world’s largest country music festival.
Vee will continue to book the Stagecoach festival in her new position and will work with Messina on the big tours he is producing, like Eric Church‘s Double Down tour and Kenny Chesney‘s Song for Saints tour.
“I’m joining Louis’ team to help him oversee things at a top level, cultivating my relationship through all the work I’ve done with Coachella and Stagecoach and applying that to the work Louis and his team do,” she tells Billboard. “There’s no shortage of top-tier talent. Louis has country, Louis has pop. He has touring artists across all genres and that’s where my relationships will fit so well with what Louis is doing.”
Vee will stay in Los Angeles and will continue to work with Tollett on the company’s festival portfolio, as well as book Stagecoach.
“I’m not not giving up anything I’m doing with Goldenvoice,” she tells Billboard. “I’m just spreading my magic over to Louis’ world.”
Both Vee and Messina are in Nashville for the final show of Church’s Double Down tour at Nissan Stadium, his first hometown concert at the NFL stadium.
“I’ve known Stacy for such a long time and I just saw her work, her passion and how she built a whole career on passion. What her and Paul Tollett do is so parallel to what I do,” Messina says. “The combination of the two of us working side by side is going to be magical.”
