Users of the dating app Bumble will soon be able to screen a potential mate’s real-time listening habits before swiping right. Spotify announced on Wednesday it is “hooking up” with the app to allow Bumble’s users to connect their profiles in order to showcase the artists they listen to most.
As part of the integration, a Bumble user who clicks on an artist listed on a potential partner’s profile will be taken to the artist page on Spotify. “This integration not only gives Bumble users a peek into the music preferences of their potential connection, but also provides an easy conversation starter,” Spotify said in its announcement.

Bumble adds a twist to the location-based dating app market, in that the woman always has to make the first move and swipe right. If she doesn’t say something to the swiped-upon guy in the first 24 hours, then the connection is kaput. (For same sex connections, either person can make that first move.)
Bumble has 5.5 million users, with 1.1 million using it daily.
