Spanish singer/songwriter Melendi has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music.
Spanish singer/songwriter Melendi has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Warner/Chappell Music.
Born Ramon Melendi Espina, the artist has been writing and recording music for more than 15 years. He’s currently making the rounds with his single “Lo Que Nos Merecemos.”
His new deal with Warner/Chappell Music covers both his extensive back catalogue and new music that he is currently working on.
“I am glad to start this new chapter in my life with Warner/Chappell,” Melendi said. “I am sure that we will achieve great things together.”
Santiago Menendez-Pidal, managing director of Warner/Chappell Music Spain, adds: “Melendi’s ability to fuse rock, rumba and flamenco styles with a gift for storytelling has struck a collective chord in Spain. We’re so proud that he’s invested his trust in us as his new music publishing partner. He has an incredible catalogue and some of the new projects he’s working on will blow fans away.”
Melendi is currently working on his new album alongside top producers such as Andres Torres, Mauricio Rengifo, Andy Clay, and Andres Saavedra. The production is set for a fall release in addition to an international tour.
