Soundgarden Announce North American Tour

Reunited grunge gods Soundgarden are headed out on a big North American spring tour with The Pretty Reckless and Dillinger Escape Plan. After a trio of festival appearances in late April, the month-long stretch will officially kick off on May 3 with a a gig at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. A pre-sale for fan club members will launch on Tuesday (Feb. 28) at 10 a.m. local time on www.soundgarden.com and www.chriscornell.com. The general public on-sale will begin at 10 .m. local time on Friday (March 3).

Before they begin the tour, Soundgarden will play a series of festival dates in Florida in late April, beginning with an April 28 stop at the WXTV Rockfest in Tampa, followed by Welcome to Rockville in Jacksonville on the 29th and the Fort Rock Festival in Ft. Myers on the 30th. The band will team  with original label Sub Pop on March 10 for the release of a remixed/expanded version of their 1988 debut full-length, Ultramega OK. The group is currently in the studio working on the follow-up to 2012’s King Animal.
