Slipknot Heading for Second No. 1 Album

Rock band Slipknot is on course for its second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Industry forecasters say the act’s new album, .5: The Gray Chapter, which was released on Oct. 21 through Roadrunner Records, could sell a little over 100,000 copies in the week ending Oct. 26. It’s the group’s first studio release since 2008’s All Hope Is Gone, which debuted atop the list.

The new Billboard 200’s top 10 will be revealed on Oct. 29.
Slipknot is just one of a bevy of acts that are set for handsome debuts on next week’s chart. As we approach the holiday shopping season, more and more A-list names will start to populate the top of the chart with notable arrivals.
Also set for high debuts on the new chart: Neil Diamond‘s Melody Road (70,000), Logic‘s Under Pressure (65,000 to 70,000), T.I.‘s Paperwork (65,000 to 70,000), Little Big Town‘s Pain Killer (30,000), Pentatonix‘s new Christmas set That’s Christmas To Me (30,000) and Annie Lennox‘s Nostalgia (25,000).
