Calibre 50 continues its consistent performance on the Regional Mexican Albums chart, as the norteño band's new effort Simplemente Gracias debuts at No. 2.

Calibre 50 continues its consistent performance on the Regional Mexican Albums chart, as the norteño band’s new effort Simplemente Gracias debuts at No. 2 (chart dated Aug. 31) — marking the 14th consecutive top 10 album for the group, which is the entirety of their charting efforts. Further, all 14 of the group’s charting efforts have debuted in the top 10.
The set earned 2,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 22, according to Nielsen Music – with most of its opening unit sum driven by streaming activity. The album tallied 2.1 million on-demand audio streams for the album’s 14 tracks in its opening week.
The Regional Mexican Albums chart ranks the most popular Regional Mexican albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).
Calibre’s 11th studio album -released Aug. 16 via Andaluz/Disa/UMLE- continues the quartet’s hot streak on the chart in terms of top 10s, which dates back to when Renovar o Morir opened at No. 8 in Dec. 2010 (peaked at No. 6 a month later, Jan. 2011).
In between, the band has placed seven total Regional Mexican Albums No. 1s, all consecutive, starting with Contigo (June 2014) and ending with Mitad y Mitad (Aug. 4, 2018-dated tally).
Simplemente has yielded two entries on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart. The album’s first cut, “Simplemente Gracias,” which was written by lead singer Edén Muñoz, topped the list for three consecutive weeks starting with the Aug. 3-dated tally, and “Chalito,” which opens at No. 33 on the latest chart.
Over on the Top Latin Albums chart, Simplemente launches at No. 21.
