SiM’s ‘Attack on Titan’ Theme ‘The Rumbling’ Rules Hot Hard Rock Songs

In its first full tracking week, the song drew 2.1 million U.S. streams.

A week after debuting on Billboard‘s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart at No. 3 despite being released midway into the Jan. 22 list’s tracking week, SiM‘s “The Rumbling” takes the top spot on the Jan. 29-dated tally.

In its first full week of tracking (Jan. 14-20), “The Rumbling” secured 2.1 million U.S. streams and sold 500 downloads, according to MRC Data.

“The Rumbling” is the theme to the second part of anime series Attack on Titan‘s fourth season, which premiered Jan. 10.

SiM is the first act to notch an initial Hot Hard Rock Songs leader in the early going of 2022. Most recently, until this week, Slipknot scored its initial No. 1 on the chart with “The Chapeltown Rag” in November. (Hot Hard Rock Songs began in June 2020).

Concurrently, “The Rumbling” starts at No. 18 on Hard Rock Streaming Songs, where it’s SiM’s first appearance.
