Singer Silvestre Dangond earns his first top 10 on the Latin Airplay chart (dated Feb. 17) with his Nicky Jam collaboration “Casate Conmigo.” The track ascends 12-9 in its 10th chart week with 10.7 million in audience — up 11 percent in the week ending Feb. 11, according to Nielsen Music.

It concurrently rises 11-9 on Latin Pop Airplay, holds at No. 7 on Latin Rhythm Airplay, and spends a fourth consecutive week at No. 1 on Tropical Airplay. On the overall Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends airplay, sales and streaming data, the song climbs 23-21 — largely powered by its solid support at radio.

“I’m super happy with the reaction that “Casate Conmigo” has had and excited to know that we continue at the top of the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart,” Dangond tells Billboard. “The reception of the audience has been incredible, and I love knowing that little by little they are catching up with the ‘Silvestrismo’. For me it is super important that the audience in the United States knows and understands my music, and this is the best proof of that. Wherever I go, wherever I may be, I see that this song is an organic success — which is what matters the most. There is nothing like seeing people singing it at concerts or at a store.”

37-year-old Dangond made his first Billboard chart appearance in 2013 with the album La 9a Batalla. Since then, he’s charted a quartet of songs on the Tropical Airplay chart, including two No. 1s, and two songs on both Latin Airplay and Hot Latin Songs: “Casate Conmigo” and “Ya No Me Duele Mas,” featuring Farruko. The latter peaked at No. 13 on Latin Airplay and No. 21 on Hot Latin Songs.

Grupo Codiciado Scores First Charting Album: Meanwhile, Grupo Codiciad debuts at No. 8 on Regional Mexican Albums, and No. 21 on Top Latin Albums, with its second studio album — and first set to reach any Billboard chart — Mira Lo Que Los Otros. It launches with 1,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 8. The set’s debut is mostly powered by streams of the album’s songs.

The Tijuana norteño group notched its first Billboard chart ink in 2017 with the hit single “Gente de Accionar,” which reached No. 33 on Regional Mexican Songs airplay chart and No. 36 on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
