With festivals like Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza leading the way, Brazil has emerged as a touring hotspot for international artists. Additionally, the country ranks as one of the top ten markets globally for recorded music.
SFX previously announced it would acquire a 50 percent stake in the holding company that controls Rock in Rio, the mega-festival held in Rio de Janeiro. An American iteration, Rock in Rio USA, is set to debut in May 2015 in Las Vegas.
