Sevendust Forced to Cancel UK Tour Due to Drummer’s Illness

The tour featuring Shinedown and Alter Bridge was slated to kick off later this week, but was canceled due to drummer Morgan Rose's illness.

Sevendust had to cancel their planned UK tour after drummer Morgan Rose was hospitalized. “It is with a heavy heart we have to say that we will not be able to join our brothers in Alter Bridge & Shinedown on the upcoming U.K. tour dates on the #WalkTheSkyTour,” they wrote in a statement. “Morgan is sick, in the hospital and under Doctor orders not to move or leave the country. We WILL make it up to you all!”

At press time a spokesperson for the band was not available for comment on Rose’s condition, but the group promised fans that they still plan to perform at their Sevendust Acoustic Xmas shows in Athens, Georgia, on Dec. 28, Orlando on Dec. 29 and Ft. Lauderdale on Dec. 30 with guests Stitcheupheart and Deepfall. The UK tour was slated to kick off on Saturday (Dec. 14) at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham and run through a Dec. 21 show at the O2 in London.
