Selena Gomez & Marshmello’s ‘Wolves’ Debuts in Hot Dance/Electronic Chart’s Top 10
The track is on the prowl at No. 7. Plus, action from Calvin Harris & Kygo.

Selena Gomez and Marshmello scamper onto Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated Nov. 11) at No. 7 with “Wolves.” Released Oct. 25 (a day before the close of the streaming and sales tracking week), the song starts with 19,000 downloads sold and 3.8 million U.S. streams, according to Nielsen Music. It bows at No. 1 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales and No. 13 on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs.
On Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, the collaboration is the third top 10 for both artists. The track concurrently opens on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 88.
Marshmello also enters Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with “You & Me” at No. 19, selling 2,000 downloads and drawing 1.7 million domestic clicks.
In other Marshmello news, his song “Silence,” featuring Khalid, soars 11-4 on Dance/Mix Show Airplay. The track ties the peak of the masked DJ’s first hit on the chart, “Alone,” in September 2016. “Silence” is Marshmello’s third top 10 on the survey and Khalid’s second.
Two other acts also score new top 10s on Dance/Mix Show Airplay: Mono Mind blasts 13-2 with “Save Me a Place,” its first top 10, and Avicii advances 16-9 with “Without You,” Avicii’s ninth top 10 and featured act Sandro Cavazza‘s first.
‘FAKING IT’ IS MAKING IT: Calvin Harris hikes 23-9 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with “Faking It” (featuring Kehlani and Lil Yachty), following the Oct. 23 arrival of its official video. The track bests its previous peak of No. 21 upon its July 22 debut.
Harris earns his 14th top 10 (while Kehlani and Yachty each achieve their first), extending his mark for the most of all acts since the chart’s January 2013 inception. With 9,000 sold (up 1,947 percent), 2.7 million streams (up 272 percent) and 8.4 million in all-format radio audience (up 81 percent), “Faking” boasts the chart’s top gains in all three metrics.
Plus, with a No. 5 re-entry on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, “Faking” becomes Harris’ 19th top 10 on that tally, second only to David Guetta‘s 23 top 10s since the chart’s January 2010 inception.
KYGO CLIMBS: Kygo‘s “Kids in Love” (featuring The Night Game) debuts at No. 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. Kygo’s fifth top 10 and The Night Game’s first enters with 3.1 million streams, also good for a No. 18 start on Dance/Electronic Streaming Songs. “Kids,” the title track from Kygo’s second full-length album (due Nov. 3), sold 9,000 downloads in the tracking week and debuts at No. 3 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales, marking the tenth top 10 on the chart for the Norwegian DJ.
‘COLA’ BUBBLES UP: Finally, U.K. DJ duo CamelPhat (Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala) and Elderbrook (aka Alexander Kotz) crown Dance Club Songs with “Cola” (2-1). Remixed by Franky Rizardo and Mousse T., among others, the track is the first topper for both acts.
