Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato Both Aiming for Billboard Hot 100’s Top 40

"Fetish" & "Sorry Not Sorry" should both surge following their first full weeks of tracking.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato‘s latest singles could both be headed for the top 40 on next week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On the Hot 100, which blends U.S. streaming, airplay and sales data, dated Aug. 5, Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry” and Gomez’s “Fetish” (featuring Gucci Mane) should both make notable gains. The songs debuted at Nos. 52 and 92, respectively, on the chart dated July 29, based on initial, partial-week data following their respective July 11 and 13 releases.

Following its first full week of activity, industry forecasters suggest that “Fetish” could sell around 30,000 downloads in the tracking week ending July 20. When finalized streaming (perhaps more than 12 million U.S. streams in the week ending July 20, according to Nielsen Music) and radio airplay (more than 1 million in all-format audience in the week ending July 23) are added to the mix, “Fetish” could reach the Hot 100’s top 40.

“Sorry” could likewise enter the Hot 100’s top 40, also with forecasted sales of around 30,000. It could draw more than 10 million domestic streams and around 5 million in airplay audience in the tracking period.

Highlights of next week’s Hot 100 will post on Billboard.com Monday (July 24), with all charts updating online Tuesday.
