Sebastian Yatra Nabs 13th Top 10 on Latin Pop Airplay Chart With ‘Tacones Rojos’

The tune jumps 11-6 in its third week.

Sebastian Yatra adds a new top 10 to his Latin Pop Airplay chart career board as “Tacones Rojos” climbs 11-6 on the Dec. 4-dated ranking. The single hits the top tier in its third week.

“The song is having a unique life cycle compared to my other releases,” Yatra tells Billboard. “It’s growing slow and steady, and the music is speaking for itself. It’s a different style from what’s going on in the music scene, so I knew that it would take some time, but good songs always get to the heart.”

“’Tacones Rojos’ is not reggaeton,” Yatra adds. “It’s a pop song, an up-tempo party track and very happy.”

With the move, Yatra collects his 13th top 10 among a group of 26 entries, six of which have reached No. 1. His most recent is “Pareja del Año,” with Myke Towers, (Aug. 14-dated tally) which has remained in the chart’s top 10 for 29 weeks during its 32-week run (and counting; currently at No. 10). With “Tacones'” climb to the top 10 in just its third week, it’s the quickest ascent to the region for Yatra.

“Tacones Rojos” advances with a 32% increase in audience impressions, to 4 million, earned in the week ending Nov. 28, according to MRC Data, which yields a 45-34 surge on the overall Latin Airplay tally.

“I think it’s going to be a song that will stick in people’s hearts for a long time,” he says. “I love seeing the way people interpret the song through challenges on TikTok and Reels and I can’t wait to remix it soon, hopefully with an Anglo-speaking artist.”
