Producer Sebastian Krys to Receive BMI Champion Award

Krys will be honored for his commitment to philanthropy at the BMI Awards, slated for March 19 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Producer Sebastian Krys will be honored for his commitment to philanthropy at the BMI Awards, slated for March 19 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. The multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winner will be the first producer to receive the Champion Award, joining past recipients including Residente, Mark Ronson and Keith Urban.

“Sebastian Krys is not only a trailblazing producer, but he’s also a true humanitarian,” said Delia Orjuela, BMI Vice President, Creative, Latin. “His longtime passion project Los Producers is a true testament to his relentless dedication to serving others, and through this annual event, he’s raised funds for a wide variety of causes ranging from natural disasters to education.” Los Producers is an annual charity concert held during Latin Grammy week in collaboration with BMI.

Krys has produced more than 300 albums, working with Elvis Costello, Alejandro Sanz, and Luis Fonsi, among many other artists.

His latest venture is the management, production and licensing services company Rebeleon Entertainment.
