The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy, Zombie’s seventh solo studio album, debuts atop both March 27-dated surveys with 28,000 equivalent album units earned, according to MRC Data. Of that sum, 26,000 units are via album sales.
Zombie has tallied four leaders each on Top Rock Albums (which began in 2006) and Hard Rock Albums (2007). He first led with Hellbilly Deluxe 2 in 2010, followed by Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (2013) and Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser (2016).
Concurrently, as previously reported, Conspiracy arrives as Zombie’s first No. 1 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart. It eclipses his prior No. 5 best set with 1998’s Hellbilly Deluxe, 2006’s Educated Horses and the aforementioned Dispenser. On the Billboard 200, the new LP launches at No. 9, marking his seventh top 10.
Two tracks from Conspiracy reach the multi-metric Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Lead single “The Triumph of King Freak (A Crypt of Preservation and Superstition)” re-enters at No. 13, after it hit No. 10 in November, and “Crow Killer Blues” debuts at No. 20. The former reached No. 18 on the Mainstream Rock Airplay list earlier this month.
