DaBaby and Ricky Reed Continue Atop Hot 100 Songwriters, Producers Charts

Of DaBaby’s eight Hot 100 entries, four appear on his LP Kirk, which spent a week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 (Oct. 12). The other four are collaborations with Lil Baby, Post Malone, Chance The Rapper and Megan Thee Stallion; “Baby,” with Lil Baby, leads the way at No. 31.

Since the Hot 100 Songwriters chart’s launch in June, only Finneas has spent more weeks at No. 1 on the chart, with nine.
On the Hot 100 Producers chart, Ricky Reed logs his second week at No. 1, thanks to production credits on two songs in the Hot 100’stop 10. Lizzo’s former seven-week No. 1 “Truth Hurts,” which Reed co-produced with Tele, lands at No. 4, followed by Lizzo’s “Good as Hell,” which Reed solely produced, at No. 6.
Reed also co-wrote both Lizzo songs, helping him stand at No. 2 on Hot 100 Songwriters (tying Lizzo).
Since the Hot 100 Producers chart’s June inception, only two other artists have ruled for multiple weeks: Louis Bell, for 17 frames, and Finneas, for three.
The weekly Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot 100; plus, genre-based songwriter and producer charts follow the same methodology based on corresponding “Hot”-named genre charts. As with Billboard‘s yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).
